I am sort of stuck in this world, but it’s great fun to be here. These are some of the things which are part of my daily existence as a SL avatar:
- When my clothing is downloading, other members see me fully dressed
- My world starts to unfold as I move along, so I pretty much live in the moment.
- I can force sunlight
Yes, I mean BESIDES the fact that there is no apparent reason for someone to be in their pijamas in the woods.

The internet and a webcam is all companies and jobseekers need to find eachother. With an increasingly globalized job market, recruiting remotely is now becoming the norm.
Especially in time of economic turmoil, companies are not willing to spend in travel expenses when they can interview online for free, Video Job Interviewing is becoming a strong alternative to face-to-face interviews.
Leaders in the recruiting industry are getting busy. Mergers and acquisitions, complex algorithm developments to match recruiters with jobseekers, and the integration of jobboards and social networks are the prevailing trend. And that is all good but it’s clearly not enough.
